The CABARET MOONPHASE (this model in 18K yellow gold) is an impressive example of the art of variation because it combines the classic personality of a rectangular watch with the appeal of a moon-phase display.
It is a classical, simple & very elegant dress watch.
The additional complication of a large date & moonphase is remarkable when taking into account the limitations of the case size.

This watch displays the date almost five times more legibly than other mechanical watches of comparable size.
Dial: Solid silver, champagne.
Hands: yellow gold.
Case: Diameter 36.3 x 25.5 mm. Height 9.1 mm.
Patented large double window date display located at the top of the dial, with a quick date-correction button recessed on the case edge at the 2 o'clock position.
Small Seconds sub-dial located at the bottom of the dial.

Seven years after the stage debut of the Cabaret, Lange is celebrating the premiere with a variation of this artistic timepiece: the Cabaret Moonphase.
The change is a disc with two golden moons.
Once a day, it is automatically advanced by the moon-phase mechanism.
If the watch was left unwound for a while, the display can be conveniently updated with a push piece recessed in the case.
